FAF: Your FilmFreeway Director Biography states that you're strongly influenced by 1940s Theatrical Shorts and 90s Nickelodeon cartoons, and it shows! How do you render these classic styles for modern audiences?
TK: To hear my style shows a glimpse of those eras I love and admire so much is a huge compliment. Breakfast in Bed is my comfortable style of drawing; I think growing up with the amazing designs and cartoony animation has shaped my taste and how I draw naturally. I would say the beauty of those eras was there use of simple designs and rounded shapes. The main aspect of trying to capture the beauty of the 1940s and the 1990s was creating a story that was a simple premise and could allow me to produce multiple gags. I think the modern audiences want good old cartoons to come back. I want to create cartoons that from start to finish are nonstop fun. I am hoping with my work and my future works I can continue to produce in this fashion and hopefully find the right audience who also miss the old cartoons.
